Job Description:

We have partnered with a well-funded, founder-led technology startup operating in the sports and media space, building next-generation systems for processing and analysing live content in real time. As the platform scales, they’re hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to design and deliver high-performance systems across real-time data pipelines, modern frontend applications, and AI-enhanced product features.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of real-time video, data, and AI-driven analysis across a modern digital content platform
  • Design and build resilient backend services using Java and cloud-native infrastructure
  • Develop modern, high-performance frontend applications using TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework
  • Architect and maintain real-time data pipelines using event-driven systems and streaming technologies
  • Work across cloud-based serverless and containerised infrastructure to deploy scalable, production-ready systems
  • Integrate LLM APIs and AI-powered workflows into product functionality and engineering processes
  • Leverage AI coding assistants and modern development tooling to accelerate development and automate workflows
  • Collaborate closely with a small, high-trust engineering team to ship features quickly and reliably
  • Take ownership of system architecture, infrastructure decisions, and production deployments

Requirements:

  • A polyglot engineering mindset with the ability to work across multiple languages and systems
  • Strong experience building backend services and distributed systems
  • Ability to read, understand, and contribute to Java-based systems
  • Frontend experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, Svelte, or similar technologies
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs from leading providers
  • Regular use of AI tools and coding assistants to increase development velocity and automate workflows
  • Strong engineering fundamentals including testing, documentation, security, and performance optimisation
  • Comfort working in fast-moving environments where ownership, clarity, and delivery are expected

Nice to have:

  • Experience in sports technology, live event data systems, or digital media platforms
  • Exposure to streaming technologies or real-time data processing frameworks
  • Strong experience designing data architectures and large-scale distributed systems
