Specializing in software engineering, DevOps, data engineering, and data science, we design and build AI-powered data platforms and web applications tailored to each client’s unique needs. The project is for an American private equity and investment management fund based in New York. We support them in the area of the infrastructure and data platform, and very recently we also build and experiment with Gen AI applications. The client operates very widely in the world of finance, loans, investments and real estate. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Data-Aware) you'll design and implement core systems that enable data science, data visualization, and agent-based applications at companies that implement data-driven decision processes to create a competitive advantage. You'll build internal agent-based tooling and data platform interfaces for data and business teams, including authenticated frontend applications, backend services, and data integrations.

Job Responsibility

  • Owning and evolving Next.js/React frontend with authenticated flows and secure session handling
  • Designing and implementing secure, scalable access patterns (OAuth2/OIDC, authorization boundaries)
  • Building and maintaining FastAPI backend services for agent-driven workflows and data integrations
  • Developing PoCs using latest technologies, experimenting with third party integrations
  • Delivering production grade applications once PoCs are validated
  • Creating solutions that enable data scientists and business analysts to be self-sufficient as much as possible
  • Finding new ways how to leverage Gen AI applications and underlying vector and graph data storages
  • Working with data warehouses, databases, and building data flows for fetching and aggregation
  • Contributing to infrastructure-as-code and AWS-based systems
  • Documenting design decisions before implementation

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer (backend/full-stack)
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
  • Strong proficiency in Next.js / React for frontend development
  • Solid backend development skills in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
  • Experience working with data in any capacity - SQL databases, data processing, analytics, working alongside data teams, or building data-driven applications
  • Proven experience building secure, scalable web applications
  • Experience with AWS stack and services, proficiency in using Docker
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, like Terraform
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English, at least C1
  • Creative problem-solving skills and excellent technical documentation

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC flows, PKCE, token/session handling
  • Agent frameworks experience (OpenAI Agents, Agno, Strands) or MCP-style integrations
  • Observability stacks experience (OpenTelemetry or similar)
  • AWS ECS, VPCs, and secure networking patterns
  • Experience with integrating LLMs (OpenAI but also others, maybe open source)
  • Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake) or different database technologies (vector DBs, graph DBs)
  • Understanding of LLMs fine tuning, embedding and vector semantic searching
  • Experience with Pinecone or Neo4j
  • Experience in building ETL processes and data pipelines with platforms like Airflow
  • Proficiency in data manipulation with Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy)
  • Experience in working with repository manager, for example Jfrog Artifactory
