The Senior Fuel Efficiency Project Specialist ensures that fuel best practices are identified, developed, and translated into projects. The role coordinates projects and oversees implementation, delivering all fuel projects in TUI Airline while ensuring they are consistently updated with industry developments in the field. The position supports TUI Group Sustainability objectives through fuel and environment management.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure fuel best practices are identified, developed, and translated into projects
Coordinate projects and oversee implementation
Deliver all fuel projects in TUI Airline
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across TUI Airline
Deliver and maintain robust reporting, analysis and MI
Support the Group Environment and Fuel Manager in all activities
Provide input into the TUI Airline fuel strategy
Identify and ensure delivery of changes in procedures, working practices and behaviours
Centrally co-ordinate and support fuel projects across all AOCs
Provide data collection, analytical MI reporting, and assist on ETS/CO₂ reporting
Work with communications teams to deliver effective communications on fuel management
Influence senior leaders across TUI Airline to effect necessary workplace change
Requirements:
Experience working in a highly regulated environment with managing projects, preferably relating to fuel management or sustainable development initiatives
Proven experience in planning and coordination of complex projects, utilising project management tools and methodologies
Background as an engineer, pilot, project or fuel manager in an operation using large commercial jet aircraft
Capability as an expert in the fuel field with clear visibility of current and cutting edge thinking in aviation fuel management
Capability to master complex dependencies paired with high numerical skills / mathematical modelling
Insightful appreciation of formal and informal influences and structures within an organisation
Cultural sensitivity with experience of working as part of a pan-European team
Strong business English is mandatory
Willingness and flexibility/ability to travel freely between UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany without additional travel authorisations
Nice to have:
Fluency in other European languages an advantage
