As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Aignostics, you'll develop a cutting-edge digital pathology platform that transforms complex biomedical data into actionable insights for cancer research and diagnostics. You'll build features for diverse users, optimize performance, and collaborate with various teams including product, design, backend, ML engineering, and DevOps. Beyond driving platform architecture and maintaining engineering standards, you'll foster a culture of ownership and collaboration while mentoring junior engineers. Job Responsibility:
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal users, product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver integrated solutions
Uphold high engineering standards: Ensure that codebases are consistent, well-tested, secure and maintainable
Drive Architecture: Make strategic decisions to enhance platform usability, scalability, and alignment with future product needs and systems performance
Participate in agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives and other team rituals to ensure smooth development cycles
Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment
Requirements:
Strong expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript and GraphQL
Proven experience in building scalable, maintainable and secure web applications
Strong expertise in Test-Driven Development (e.g., Vitest, Playwright)
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their role in delivering high-quality software
A commitment to technical excellence, demonstrated through attention to detail, code quality, and adherence to best practices
Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies
Outstanding communication skills, with a strong team-oriented mindset alongside proficiency in English
Nice to have:
Familiarity with DevSecOps and ISO 27001 Information Security standards
Knowledge of SQL and database management
Experience with OpenLayers
Knowledgeable with GitLab CI and GitHub Actions
An understanding of performance optimization techniques and debugging for complex web applications working on large datasets
