The Front-end Developer is responsible for developing assets across all digital channels for a range of local and global brands. This primarily includes digital banners, social media content, and emails.
Job Responsibility:
Digital display and social media - adaptation and animate digital banners and social media assets, considering specifications and best practices - include static, animated GIFs, HTML5, and Rich Media banners, and DCO campaigns
Develop responsive HTML emails, considering best practices and latest email trends
Work with project managers/account servicing team/clients to advise on the best approach to tackling brief challenges
Ensure all tasks, big and small, are developed to the highest creative quality and standards
Able to interpret briefs, estimate effort, and deliver within agreed timelines
Thoroughly QA work against the brief and brand guidelines before delivering
Requirements:
Advanced HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3
Ability to hand code in vanilla JavaScript
Responsive development
Strong knowledge of animation techniques – via JS and CSS
Third-party JS libraries including Greensocks, CreateJS, jQuery etc.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop and Illustrator
Knowledge of JSON and XML
Knowledge of optimization principles and techniques (image optimization, code minification, font subsetting etc)
Experience of at least 2 of the main Ad Serving platforms such as Google DoubleClick, Flashtalking, Sizmek, AdForm and Celtra
Setup and management of feeds (XML, JSON) to drive dynamic campaign solutions
Experience with using Google Sheets and MS Excel as content feeds
Demonstrable experience of De-bugging
Knowledge of coding standards and best practice
Full knowledge of IAB digital advertising standards
Understanding of W3C Standards and cross-browser/device issues and code solutions
Creation and use of Spritesheets
Previous experience building dynamic banner campaigns across a variety of Ad Servers
Knowledge of DCO targeting optimisation and trafficking approaches for display advertising (placement/audience id’s, GEO etc)
Experience of GIT version control
Nice to have:
Experience with Adobe After Effects
Experience with timeline-based IDE’s such as Adobe Animate and Google Web Designer
Knowledge of dynamic VAST and VPAID video ads
Experience producing ads for YouTube
Experience working in Social Ad Campaigns
Experience of third-party social and video programmatic platforms including Smartly, Spirable, Xandr, Shakr and Jivox
Experience with Figma
