We’re looking for a Frontend Developer who thrives on translating high-fidelity designs and clear acceptance criteria into polished, performant, and accessible digital experiences. At DEPT®, your work will directly shape the frontlines of global digital platforms — where visual excellence, responsiveness, and accessibility matter. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary teams to create frontends that meet today’s standards and tomorrow’s expectations.
Job Responsibility:
Translate tickets and acceptance criteria into functional, testable components using React, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript
Build interfaces from Figma designs with high visual accuracy and attention to pixel perfection
Develop responsive layouts and components that adapt elegantly across devices and breakpoints
Ensure all components are accessible and inclusive, meeting WCAG 2.2 AA compliance standards
Optimize UIs for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) and other performance metrics
Contribute to and maintain shared component libraries and frontend standards
Collaborate with designers, QA, and backend developers to validate requirements and ship features
Follow clean coding practices like DRY, KISS, and component reuse to keep the codebase scalable and maintainable
Requirements:
5+ years of experience building frontend applications, preferably in agency or multi-project environments
Fluency in React, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript, with strong attention to detail and usability
High working proficiency in both Dutch and English
Knowledge on how to bring Figma designs to life, down to the last pixel
Ability to build fully responsive UIs that look and behave well on all modern devices and browsers
Understanding of optimisation for Core Web Vitals and real-world performance benchmarks
Ability to apply WCAG 2.2 AA standards — including semantic markup, keyboard accessibility, and visual contrast
Passion for UI quality, maintainability, and collaborating with designers and backend engineers
Application of clean code principles like DRY, KISS, and modularity to your work
Clear communication and contribution to a healthy, collaborative team dynamic
Nice to have:
Working knowledge of Framer Motion, GSAP, ThreeJS, or other animation frameworks
What we offer:
A flexible, hybrid working policy (2-3 days from the office, depending on location) and the opportunity to work from abroad for 13 weeks a year
24 vacation days per year and the possibility to buy an unlimited number of extra vacation days
DEPT®/YOU Learning Menu and DEPT®/YOU Special Programs
Contribution to your health through the OpenUp platform, gym and wellness discounts, and healthy lunches at the office
