Job Description:

The Senior Fraud Officer role involves investigating anomalies, verifying suspicious activities, mitigating risks for customers and the Bank, and acting as a subject matter expert within the department while providing support to trainees and underperformers.

Job Responsibility:

Rapidly disposition alerts via a preliminary review to filter alerts that can readily be negated
Conduct detailed investigation utilizing all internal and external sources available
Conduct outbound call for verification of suspicious activities
Follow up with customers to provide education, mitigation, or prevention strategies if fraudulent activity is confirmed
Handle calls for fraud reporting and fraud-related inquiries to mitigate risk
Act as the Subject Matter Expert and referral point within the department
Provide hands-on support to new trainees, including on-the-job training and coaching
Seek procedural clarifications and communicate updates to the team.

Requirements:

Min 2 years fraud or financial services or customer service experience
Effective conversational skills, proficient in both spoken and written English/Cantonese/Mandarin
Strong customer service skills
Ability to write business letters and reports
Strong decision making and analytical skills
Experience using data and observation to support judgements and complex customer interactions
Research and patiently review the case
Toggle between multiple applications and ability to work on multiple task
Awareness of changing Fraud Landscape, fraud schemes, fraud prevention methods, fraud detection tools and industry fraud trends
Timely escalation of fraud trends, suspicious activity, issues, etc. to Management and Fraud Risk
Basic understanding of MS Office
Flexible to working in a 24x7 process in rotational shifts, including weekends.
