Job Description:

Join Barclays as a Senior Forward Deployed AI engineer, where you'll be at the forefront to design what good looks like and move in fast iteration to prove concepts and prototypes that can be scaled later into our central platform, this role requires appetite for innovation, a can-do attitude and a hacker mindset.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics used in business decision-making
  • Design analytics and modelling solutions to complex business problems using domain expertise
  • Collaboration with technology to specify dependencies required for analytical solutions
  • Development of high performing, comprehensively documented analytics and modelling solutions
  • Implementation of analytics and models in accurate, stable, well-tested software
  • Provision of ongoing support for the continued effectiveness of analytics and modelling solutions
  • Demonstrate conformance to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies
  • Ensure all development activities are undertaken within the defined control environment

Requirements:

  • Context & Prompt Engineering: translate very complex prompts and tasks into an agentic workflow
  • Copilot, LLM & ML Knowledge: use Copilot enabled features and extract features from agents to deploy in re-usable ways
  • Full Stack Cloud Engineering: deploy and deliver platform related items (MCP, Agents)
  • Financial Knowledge: talk finance and have good stakeholder management
  • MLOps & LLMOps: debug problems in real time or adjust them to business needs
  • Commercial Acumen: generate more projects and use cases and build good relationships with the business
  • Assessed on key critical skills: risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills
