Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Forensic Accounting Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Naples, Florida, and involves conducting a detailed financial analysis to uncover discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting. The position requires independent work with a focus on identifying issues related to profitability and cost accounting in manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct a thorough review of financial records from the past three years, focusing on Australia operations
  • Analyze revenue streams and customer transactions to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Investigate company purchases by product value and reconcile them with inventory data to validate proper accounting practices
  • Examine SKUs sold to confirm they were processed through inventory and correctly accounted for
  • Scrutinize specific expense accounts to identify discrepancies or unusual activity
  • Utilize Excel to work with data exported from Zero software for financial reconciliation and reporting
  • Collaborate directly with the organization to address fraud concerns and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide detailed reports and insights on gross margin discrepancies and profitability issues
  • Apply forensic accounting techniques to detect inconsistencies in cost structures
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices throughout the analysis process

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in forensic accounting, particularly in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in cost accounting and financial analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of identifying and resolving financial discrepancies
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with Zero accounting software or similar platforms
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently without direct supervision
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in accounting
