The Senior Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role provides strategic leadership to restaurant, bar, banquet, and in-room dining operations while maintaining brand standards and fostering a culture of service excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, banquets, and room service
Lead, coach, and develop F&B leadership and line-level associates
Ensure consistent execution of service standards and guest experience initiatives
Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Partner with the culinary team to ensure menu quality, presentation, and consistency
Develop and manage departmental budgets and forecasts
Monitor labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, and overall profitability
Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions as needed
Drive revenue through promotions, upselling strategies, and banquet sales support
Manage inventory control and purchasing processes
Actively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly
Maintain strong visibility during peak service periods and events
Implement service recovery strategies when necessary
Monitor online reviews and guest feedback related to F&B operations
Recruit, hire, and train F&B managers and associates
Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching
Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
Support succession planning and internal career growth initiatives
Ensure adherence to company policies, brand standards, and local/state regulations
Maintain proper alcohol service certifications and food safety standards
Conduct regular audits of service, cleanliness, and safety procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
5+ years of progressive food & beverage leadership experience in a hotel or upscale restaurant environment
Banquet experience required
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets
Proven leadership and team development skills
Excellent communication and guest service abilities
Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and scheduling software
