We are looking for an experienced Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in financial reporting and accounting processes, including month-end close and reconciliation tasks. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and oversee month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded
Create and review journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Perform account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow reporting
Manage and track fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and asset additions
Utilize Workday to support accounting operations and streamline processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and improve processes
Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting, including month-end close and reconciliation tasks
Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entry processes
Proficiency in performing account and bank reconciliations
Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and related practices
Hands-on experience with Workday or similar financial systems
Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory compliance
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
