Job Description

A well-established built environment consultancy is seeking a Senior Fire Risk Assessor to support the continued growth of their fire safety service. This opportunity would suit a motivated Senior Fire Risk Assessor who is looking to work across a varied portfolio within a professional consultancy environment. The successful Senior Fire Risk Assessor will deliver site-based fire risk assessments across multiple sectors, supporting clients in achieving compliance and enhancing fire safety standards. The Senior Fire Risk Assessor will provide specialist guidance on fire safety legislation while contributing to inspection programmes and remedial strategies.

Job Responsibility

  • Conducting fire risk assessments across industrial, commercial and residential properties
  • Producing detailed reports using digital reporting systems
  • Coordinating with clients to organise inspection programmes and actions
  • Reviewing compliance in line with current fire safety legislation and standards
  • Preparing schedules of works and supporting remedial project delivery
  • Advising on Building Regulations relating to fire safety
  • Reviewing and signing off Fire Risk Assessments prior to submission
  • Supporting internal audits and maintaining quality standards
  • Monitoring works on site to ensure compliance with specifications

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Fire Risk Assessor within consultancy, in-house or Fire & Rescue environments
  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and associated guidance
  • Level 4 qualification in fire risk management (minimum) or Level 5 in a relevant discipline
  • IFE-approved fire risk assessment training
  • Registration with IFE, FRACS or IFSM
  • Experience acting as a Validator under the BAFE SP205-1 scheme desirable
  • Experience across a range of building types
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
