A growing fire engineering and surveying consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Fire Engineer to play a key role in the technical delivery and project management of complex fire safety schemes across the UK. Job Responsibility:
Produce fire strategies and technical fire safety reports across a range of sectors
Project manage schemes alongside senior leadership and Directors
Attend client meetings, site visits and liaise with enforcing authorities
Develop fee proposals and scopes of service documents
Apply UK fire codes and guidance including BS 9999, Firecode, PAS 9980 and Building Regulations
Contribute to technical discussions, CPD events and internal research projects
Mentor and support Graduate and Engineer level staff
Requirements:
4-5+ years’ experience within Fire Engineering or Fire Safety Consultancy
Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Consultancy experience preferred, though not essential
Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
Strong understanding of UK fire legislation and fire strategy delivery
Comfortable managing projects and developing client relationships
Progression towards chartership
