Job Description

Shape the future of fire engineering with an international leader. An independent, specialist fire safety engineering consultancy with an international intention to support a safe future in fire safety and a passion for sustainability, seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to join their Sheffield office. Play a key role in delivering creative, performance-based fire engineering solutions on exciting and complex projects across the UK and internationally.

Job Responsibility

  • Developing and delivering fire safety strategies across a range of sectors, from commercial and residential to high-risk and specialist facilities
  • Applying advanced modelling tools (e.g. CFD, evacuation modelling) to provide innovative, performance-based design solutions
  • Collaborating closely with architects, design teams, and clients to integrate fire safety into every stage of the project lifecycle
  • Supporting the development of junior engineers and contributing to knowledge-sharing within the team

Requirements

  • Experience in fire engineering consultancy (ideally 2+ years)
  • Knowledge of UK regulations and standards, with a good grasp of performance-based fire design
  • Experience with fire modelling (CFD, evacuation) would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
