Job Description:

Senior Fire Engineer role at a forward-thinking consultancy in London, working on landmark projects across commercial, heritage, residential, transport, and mixed-use sectors, applying expert knowledge of UK fire legislation to solve complex design challenges.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the development of fire strategy reports from concept through to handover
Provide technically robust and innovative solutions aligned with current UK legislation
Oversee performance-based design, fire engineering calculations, and design appraisals
Liaise directly with clients, design teams, and approving authorities
Guide junior engineers, contributing to team growth and project success
Participate in fee proposals, client briefings, and site inspections

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Fire Engineer within a consultancy in the UK
Degree qualified in Fire Engineering (or related discipline)
Working knowledge of UK codes and guidance
Able to communicate complex principles clearly and pragmatically
Chartered or working towards chartership with IFE or equivalent (preferred)

Nice to have:

CFD tools knowledge (e.g. PyroSim, Pathfinder)
Chartered status with IFE or equivalent
Passionate about quality, collaboration, and achieving creative, risk-informed solutions
