Job Description:

We are looking for an agile, proactive, and highly independent Financial Specialist to join a small, dynamic Hungarian team. This is a critical role where you will "own" the financial operations. You will work in an environment that values results over micro-management, offering a stress-free atmosphere for a professional who thrives on autonomy and taking initiative.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all financial operations, including invoicing, bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and financial reporting
  • Actively participate in month-end closings, review tax accounts and VAT returns, and ensure overall accounting completeness
  • Monitor project budgets, support financial project closures, and ensure strict compliance and performance standards
  • Provide payroll data to the clerk, ensure contracts are up to date, and collaborate with the Engineering team to capture all financially impactful information
  • Manage EKAER registrations and support customs procedures in coordination with agents (tracking time-sensitive storage fees and tariff codes provided by engineering)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for accounting partners, auditors, and financial stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial controls and refine Excel-based cash flow tracking and process descriptions

Requirements:

  • Higher education degree in Economics or Finance (BA/BSc)
  • Proven professional experience in finance or financial controlling
  • Confident, active English language skills
  • High-level MS Excel proficiency
  • Exceptional autonomy—you must be able to recognize tasks and move forward without waiting for constant supervision
  • Proactivity, a "problem-solver" attitude, and the ability to track sequential documentation
