Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded professional to support the financial setup, system configuration, and lifecycle management of the company’s property and casualty insurance programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring insurance programs are structured accurately from a financial and operational perspective, bridging underwriting, finance, accounting, and systems. This role will be a key contributor on the Financial Program Management (FINPRO) team within the Finance Department. You will partner closely with various teams throughout the organizations such as Data, Underwriting, Insurance Operations Accounting, Financial Business Systems and Treasury to support the accurate financial setup and ongoing management of insurance programs.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary interface between Underwriting and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely program setup, financial reporting, etc.
Oversee end-to-end program management from a finance perspective, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial controls
Provide financial oversight for program inception, ongoing performance, and renewals
Conduct credit risk assessments during negotiations with new reinsurers, including: Estimation of minimum collateral requirements
Determination of funds required in Trust Accounts
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure the organization is properly collateralized, even when collateral is required from the MGA
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in reinsurance accounting, underwriting support, and/or financial systems
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field
Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions
Exposure to insurance or reinsurance program structures preferred
Experience or familiarity with financial or insurance systems (e.g., Workday, Workday Accounting Center, Duck Creek Reinsurance, or similar platforms) is a plus
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and process accuracy
Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Clear communicator who can translate program structures into financial and system requirements
Nice to have:
Exposure to insurance or reinsurance program structures
Experience or familiarity with financial or insurance systems (e.g., Workday, Workday Accounting Center, Duck Creek Reinsurance, or similar platforms)
