Job Description:

The Senior Controller plans, forecasts, reports, analyzes and challenges Financial KPIs and their main drivers in close collaboration with the business owners, and coordinates improvement measures. The position acts as a finance business partner and supports the management in all financial decision topics while aiming to transform financial steering and achieve operational targets through analysis and strategic execution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create and provide financial analyses, reports and dashboards for various stakeholders (ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, yearly base)
  • Monitor actuals vs. plan, analyses deviations and their drivers, recommend measures to ensure plan achievement and tracks ongoing progress of e.g. major project initiatives
  • Provide full transparency on Financials by taking care of the monthly revenue and cost accrual process
  • Support and challenge business representatives based on financial analysis
  • Develop recommendations for financial targets within the strategic and operational planning and forecasting process (long-, mid- and short-term perspective)
  • Support and challenging price and rate card calculations together with service owners within annual pricing process, and coordinate with central pricing team according to pricing framework
  • Contribute, establish and further develop guidelines, methods, processes and systems
  • Strong collaboration with central and local team members
  • Drive best practice sharing, efficiency increases, standards setting and process harmonization for controlling topics
  • Provide guidance and feedback to more junior team members
  • Challenge the financial figures towards service owner and provide on top of steering
  • Presenting the numbers also further improvement measures on financial side and work really close with the business to understand their needs and transform them into financial steering.

Requirements:

  • University degree in finance, business administration, economics or related area
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge in German is a plus
  • min 5 years work experience within Controlling / Financial Steering in an international matrix organization or in comparable Consulting Company
  • Experienced in the application of systems that are relevant for Controlling, e.g. SAP FI-CO/BW
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and problem-solving attitude as well as moderation and presentation techniques
  • Ability to work fully independent and solve complex problems or situations based on multiple sources of information
  • Role model character with talent to drive new ideas and take new perspectives to challenge existing solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
