Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Marlborough, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing software revenue trends, preparing detailed reports, and supporting financial forecasting for a growing software company. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver crucial financial insights.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct monthly analyses of software revenue and generate comprehensive reports
Perform variance analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and key insights
Develop accurate financial forecasts and provide recommendations to support decision-making
Prepare detailed financial presentations and reports for stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret financial data
Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and manipulate large datasets effectively
Ensure compliance with software revenue recognition standards and practices
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to address specific business inquiries
Support the transition and onboarding process by shadowing the current team member

Requirements:

Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably within the software industry
Strong understanding of software revenue recognition principles
Expertise in performing variance analysis and delivering actionable insights
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data modeling
Ability to create detailed financial reports and presentations for stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across teams
