As the Senior Financial Analyst for Grants, you will be responsible for the financial control and compliance layer of ICEYE’s global grant and development loan portfolio. You will operate in a dual-ownership model, reporting to the Director of Finance for Engineering with a dotted line to the CTO Office who owns the global grant program portfolio and strategic program delivery. Your primary mission is to ensure reporting and audit integrity, implement rigorous financial governance to protect and grow our grant-funded initiatives and development of a grant valuation and gating model. You will be the central financial gatekeeper, ensuring that governmental grant and loan programs meet institutional standards. By establishing a robust control layer, you will provide the financial oversight necessary to prevent funding clawbacks, manage audit risks, and implement a valuation engine to rank future opportunities based on financial metrics and strategic fit. Depending on the future grant portfolio development the role might later be broadened to support other financial planning and control initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Secure the Present: Own and develop grant programs’ financial reporting and audit execution, ensuring successful outcomes for mandatory reporting intervals and interim and final audits
Unify Data: Consolidate all in-flight grant and loan data into a single, transparent finance dashboard to provide a clear portfolio view
Govern the Future: Further develop and roll out a grant gating and valuation model to evaluate new opportunities based on financial metrics, cash timing, and compliance burden
Optimize Tracking: Integrate grant cost-mapping and time-tracking into standard company processes
Ensure Compliance: Maintain controls to prevent double-dipping across multiple programs and ensure all reporting meets grant authority requirements
Collaborate across the Matrix: Build strong interfaces with Engineering, the CTO Office, Global Manufacturing Organization (GMO), treasury and broader finance team to align financial controls with technical delivery
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
2-5 years of relevant experience e.g. in financial planning or controlling
Motivation to understand and own grant compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls
Ability to manage complex audits and coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with the ability to build valuation models and structure complex financial problems
Proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach to building and documenting new processes
Tech savvy, interested to learn process automation with state of the art AI tools
