Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to influence key financial decisions, optimize operational performance, and drive cost improvements. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, expertise in financial modeling, and a deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking to support strategic decision-making
  • Perform detailed variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual, prior, and standard costs
  • Develop and refine cost and financial models to enhance decision support processes
  • Prepare insightful reports on financial performance and deliver them during leadership reviews
  • Analyze historical financial data, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvements
  • Provide recommendations for optimization by analyzing trends and forecasts
  • Evaluate data to propose changes in methods and materials that can reduce operational costs
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including the creation of standardized and ad-hoc reports and tools
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to analyze variances in materials, labor, and overhead costs
  • Support month-end close activities by preparing data, analysis, reporting packages, and journal entries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create scalable models and reports
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling and working with large datasets
  • Familiarity with standard costing practices in a manufacturing environment and basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to perform variance analysis and develop actionable insights
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and its application to financial reporting and analysis
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations to leadership
