Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's team in Columbia, Maryland. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting while driving process improvements and supporting key decision-making initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with leadership and contribute to the organization's financial success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and oversee monthly forecasts and budgets for operational expenses and workforce planning
  • Develop comprehensive monthly reporting packages and present findings to leadership teams and budget stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed analyses of key balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and sufficiency
  • Track and assess sample and travel expenditures to align with budgetary and compliance standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate setup and timely reporting of accounting master data
  • Create and monitor cost KPIs while identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency initiatives
  • Drive process improvements through enhanced cost analytics and collaboration with department and regional leaders
  • Provide strategic decision-making support and evaluate organizational structures and initiatives
  • Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts for the annual insurance renewal process
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to support finance and operational teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial data and presenting findings effectively to senior management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to create and work with complex financial models
  • Strong organizational skills to meet reporting deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment as required
  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting
