Robert Half has partnered with a growing private equity backed company in the Chapel Hill, North Carolina area to assist them in hiring a Senior Financial Analyst. This position requires a bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics and at least two years of corporate FP&A experience. This company is not offering relocation assistance, so only local candidates are being considered at this time. The primary job functions of this position are financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis to support business initiatives and executive decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Annual budget preparation and monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis
Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate performance and future outcomes
Track metrics, analyze results, and create financial dashboards and reports for leadership
Produce recurring financial summaries and presentations for senior stakeholders
Assess costs, returns, and investments to support strategic choices
Improve financial reporting processes and workflows
Collaborate with accounting, operations, and other groups to maintain consistent data
Contribute to the management and enhancement of planning/budgeting software
Support a range of financial, operational, and strategic projects as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Minimum of three years of experience in corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to conduct variance and performance analyses
Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or Power BI
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial concepts
Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities
Nice to have:
Experience with Oracle, NetSuite or Power BI is prefered
