We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. In this role, you will focus on customs analysis and international trade compliance, ensuring accurate adherence to regulations and optimizing duty mitigation opportunities. Job Responsibility:
Evaluate and extract bills of materials to assess eligibility for free trade agreements
Apply specific rules to determine qualification status for free trade agreements
Ensure compliance by following established internal procedures governing trade agreement analysis
Collaborate with supply chain teams to request necessary certificates from suppliers
Review and verify certificates provided by suppliers for accuracy and compliance
Examine historical customs broker entry data to identify opportunities for post-entry claims
Assist in filing post-entry claims, including reconciliation, post-summary corrections, and duty drawback
Support additional duty mitigation programs as required to enhance cost efficiency
Prepare datasets and analyze information to ensure compliance with customs regulations
Coordinate effectively with stakeholders to streamline processes and maintain regulatory standards
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with intermediate-level skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and apply customs requirements accurately
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
1-2+ years of experience in customs, logistics, or data analysis
Familiarity with supply chain logistics and trade agreement processes
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
Nice to have:
Prior experience with free trade agreement analysis is preferred
Knowledge of duty mitigation programs and customs compliance is a plus
