We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Larkspur, California. This role will focus on supporting Commercial Finance functions, including Sales and Marketing, by delivering insights that drive profitable growth. Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to provide actionable insights that support profitable business growth
Prepare monthly variance analyses for key metrics such as Sales, Trade Spend, and Gross Margin, identifying trends and opportunities
Evaluate performance drivers and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial targets are met
Lead or assist in Trade Effectiveness Reviews to enhance promotional spending efficiency and adherence to processes
Manage Net Sales planning and forecasting models, contributing to annual plans and ongoing forecast updates
Oversee the Marketing Budget process, tracking expenditures and assessing investment effectiveness
Participate in efforts to improve tools, processes, and reporting systems to streamline data flows and modernize operations
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support strategic planning initiatives alongside the Director of Commercial Finance
Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at refining business strategies and achieving organizational goals
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in financial or business analysis, preferably within a similar industry
Proficiency in analyzing data, identifying trends, and influencing decisions through actionable insights
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results within tight deadlines
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools such as Power BI
A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of outcomes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial processes and reporting
