Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support product costing and pricing strategy for our SaaS offerings. This role will perform detailed financial analysis to understand cost drivers, support pricing decisions, and identify profitability improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical financial skills with the ability to partner effectively across Product, Sales, and Operations teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct detailed costing analysis for SaaS offerings including Cloud and On-Premise infrastructure, hardware, support services, and licensing components
  • Perform cost modeling to identify and analyze cost of revenue drivers and their impact on P&L performance and gross margin
  • Build and maintain financial models to track product delivery costs, cost allocation methodologies, and unit economics
  • Analyze cost structures across product lines and customer segments to support pricing and go-to-market decisions
  • Develop frameworks for allocating support and service costs across products and customer segments
  • Partner with Product Pricing, Product Management, and Deal Desk teams to develop and evaluate pricing recommendations
  • Create and maintain pricing models, tools, and frameworks to support data-driven pricing decisions and profitability analysis
  • Analyze financial and non-financial business metrics to inform pricing strategy discussions
  • Support pricing optimization initiatives by evaluating price elasticity, competitive positioning, and margin implications
  • Ensure pricing decisions reflect accurate, up-to-date cost data and financial targets
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of financial statements, particularly P&L dynamics, cost of revenue, and gross margin drivers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Mathematics, or related field (required)
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with focus on cost accounting, FP&A, or pricing analysis
  • 2-3 years of experience in the technology industry, preferably in software, cloud, or SaaS environments
  • Demonstrated experience in cost modeling, margin analysis, and understanding the economics of product delivery
  • Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement) with specific expertise in cost of revenue, gross margin dynamics, and profitability drivers
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modeling, complex data analysis, template development, and data consolidation
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models including cloud-based and on-premise costing structures
  • Experience with subscription-based pricing models and recurring revenue frameworks
  • Knowledge of cost allocation methodologies and activity-based costing principles
  • Familiarity with hardware and infrastructure costing for technology offerings
  • Understanding of customer support cost structures and service delivery economics
  • Working knowledge of CPQ systems or pricing tools (preferred)
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research abilities
