The Senior Financial Analyst will be a highly relied upon finance partner to the procurement teams in providing analysis and data-driven insights to shape business strategies, decision making and support value creation by the Category teams. This position will be involved in leading finance service delivery changes within the region as well as relied upon to embrace and drive technology enablers for process efficiencies and improved business insights.
Job Responsibility:
Provide financial leadership to procurement categories (e.g., Packaging, Chemicals, External Manufacturing, Logistics, Marketing etc.) through analysis and benchmarking of savings & spend to identify value-creating opportunities
Drive transparency and insights to the financial implications of external market forces (e.g., commodity inflation) and develop robust modelling to explain & forecast changes to supplier spend
Preparation of brand/franchise level BVAs by market, leveraging the “commodity to finished good” report
Provide end-to-end financial leadership, strategic support, and project accounting for business cases & initiatives, such as sourcing RFPs (Request for Proposal), long-range financial planning, prioritization of investments, etc.
Actively review and influence pre-negotiation strategies and supplier agreements to align with preferred terms and drive value opportunities
Ensure proactive compliance with respect to Global Savings Policy and general accounting and business policies & procedures
Identify opportunities to embed and drive adoption of innovative solutions/tools within our processes
Deliver value through continuing to simplify processes, reducing complexity and providing relevant insights to enable excellence in business partnering and decision making
Prepare management review decks and effectively frame & communicate business insights to senior management
Own business planning & forecast cycles, month-end financial close and budget vs actuals analysis (i.e., spend, savings, external forces, functional cost/org effectiveness)
Support benchmarking activities to ensure the strategy is in line with industry best practices
Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably a major in Accounting or Finance
A minimum of three (3) years of finance or accounting experience is required
Candidate must possess excellent analytical, conceptual, communication, and interpersonal skills
Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required
The ability to influence and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, within a global matrix environment across multiple business and initiatives, is required
Has an attention to detail
Nice to have:
A MBA, CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications are preferred
Knowledge of other technological solutions or programs to manage and visualize data is preferred (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx/Knime etc.)
