Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Manager, FP&A, Functions and is responsible to deliver finance process activities including Budget, Forecast, closing, actuals reporting, various ad-hoc analysis by partnering with FP&A leader and functional team. This position is part of the global India Finance COE located in Bangalore and will be on-site (working hours from 1.30 PM to 10.30 PM). Job Responsibility

  • Own and operationalize the monthly closing and forecast processes for select business functions
  • Provide in-depth analytics and commentary of actual vs forecasted performance
  • Ensure adherence to targets, highlighting potential overruns and trends
  • Apply zero based budgeting techniques & other best practices to drive continuous improvement in spending across functions
  • Facilitate headcount forecast and overall people cost analysis and proper cost allocation by cost centers
  • Support Marketing function stakeholders with financial modeling and suggesting ways to be a more cost-effective function
  • Help with cost-control measures
  • Support Purchase Requisitions tracking (iProcurement) and approvals
  • Drive standardization and process improvements in forecasting and reporting, including best practice sharing
  • Identify and resolve gaps in reporting which will value-add to the business
  • Serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholders and leaders, clearly communicating complex financial processes and results to non-financial audiences
  • Assist senior leadership with analytical requests or ad hoc reporting as required

Requirements

  • B. Com, CA, CMA, MBA qualifications
  • 4-8 years of progressive finance experience
  • Experience in a global business environment with global processes
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong PC skills with financial systems/applications (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, One stream, Qlik sense)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations
  • Adaptable & open to change
  • Strong in taking process improvement initiatives
