Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant responsible for regulatory, financial, and management reporting in the EMEA region and supporting preparation and submission of reports to regulatory authorities. The role involves performing production activities, maintaining control environments, participating in change management, and development of junior staff.

Job Responsibility:

Act as lead Consultant for financial accounting related matters
provide technical expertise regarding accounting issues, regulatory information and research
provide technical assistance on major transactions and product development
provide data for preparing and reviewing financial and regulatory reports
communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control
articulate the impact of policy changes to management
perform ongoing financial control functions
apply extensive specialized knowledge and act as internal consultant
lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives
identify compliance and risk management requirements
communicate and consult regularly with stakeholders

Requirements:

4+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience
training
military experience
education

Nice to have:

Experience preparing regulatory returns for a financial services organisation
innovative mindset
understanding of change management discipline
understanding of regulatory or best in class expectations in respect of controls and governance
strong communication skills
strong academic background
financial or accounting professional qualification
knowledge of NextGen tools such as Tableau, Confluence, Alteryx, Workiva
