Job Description

This Senior Financial Accountant - Reporting and Transformation will play a vital role in maintaining audit compliance, driving process improvements, fostering innovation, and delivering insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all financial reporting on a monthly basis for entities within the group
  • Create, improve and maintain financial templates
  • Assist the Assistant GFC with the Review of all Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly to ensure accuracy and make the Assistant GFC aware of any concerns
  • Support process improvement to increase efficiency and accuracy in reporting
  • IFRS and AASB and statutory compliance subject matter expert, advise business on accounting treatment in line with standards
  • Assist in implementing audit recommendations and strengthening internal control
  • Prepare the Annual Financial Statements including consolidations in accordance with accounting standards AASB
  • Support finance transformation and compliance initiatives as required

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant or CPA certification is essential (or equivalent)
  • Technically proficient in AASB and IFRS, experience or an interest in sustainability ESG reporting is highly valued
  • Blend of Audit and Commercial experience
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across the business
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets suite

  • Ensure close activities are completed accurately and within agreed timelines
  • Analyze account movements and investigate unusual balances, trends, or variances
  • Apply accounting judgment when assessing journal entries, account treatment, materiality, and potential risks
