Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for Group reporting according to US GAAP
  • Responsible for Statutory reporting according to German GAAP
  • Direct liaise with financial auditors from BIG 4 for entities located in Germany and Switzerland
  • Provide data to the external partners regarding statutory financial statement and CIT returns
  • Work closely with BPO accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues and queries for related accounting issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting
  • Prepare all documentation for monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Review and prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Regular focus on Balance sheets to minimize open items
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives and best practices
  • Maintain good working relationships with other Teams
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects to improve processes defined by direct manager

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge on German GAAP regulations
  • Excellent German language skills
  • C1 English language skills
  • Minimum 5-years of experience on a position of Independent Statutory Accountant or similar
  • Experience in a multinational company, ideally with partly outsourced accounting will be an advantage
  • Accounting certificates (ACCA, CIMA, Tax Advisor)
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook and Office applications. Good knowledge of MS Excel is essential
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud)
  • Strong business awareness
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills and ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, with minimal involvement from management
  • Able to work effectively with others in a team
  • Ability to adapt and implement new procedures as required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with many levels and types of people
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with competing priorities
