A senior finance leader responsible for building and running a dependable, well‑structured Finance operation in India that supports the Snap group’s international growth. The role leads and develops the local team, strengthens financial control, oversees core accounting, close cycles and statutory requirements, and ensures accurate monthly reporting into the UK group.
Job Responsibility:
Leading and developing our future India finance team, setting clear expectations and supporting growth
Ensuring strong financial control across core accounting processes, close cycles, and reconciliations
Working with external accountants on local statutory accounting and tax matters
Partnering with external payroll providers to ensure accurate payroll and employment compliance
Delivering timely, accurate monthly reporting to the UK group
Managing intercompany charges and ensuring alignment with group standards
Acting as the primary liaison with local auditors and external advisors
Continuously improving finance processes, structure, and ways of working
Requirements:
Proven people leadership experience, including developing, coaching, and performance-managing a finance team
A strong financial control background, overseeing accounting processes, reconciliations, close cycles, and compliance
Experience working closely with international stakeholders, particularly UK-based leadership
High standards and accountability, taking clear ownership of quality, delivery, and timelines
Experience building or scaling finance operations, adding structure and discipline as organisations grow
Clear, confident communication skills, able to explain issues, progress, and risks in a practical, solution-focused way
10–15 years’ experience, ideally within professional services or an international business environment
Nice to have:
Experience in a captive or offshore finance centre
Previous experience within a UK- or Europe-headquartered group
Exposure to group reporting or consolidation
Experience supporting audits or working with external advisors
Process improvement or transition experience
A professional accounting qualification (or currently working towards one)
