Job Description:

This function brings together distinct specialisms to drive greater connectivity in how HSBC manages engagement with key stakeholders. Finance teams provide internal and external financial reporting, forecasting, controls oversight and stress testing expertise. Specialist areas manage HSBC worldwide tax affairs, treasury needs, and events for investors and analysts. Sustainability teams lead HSBC's work supporting sustainable growth including prioritising financing towards net-zero transition.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting the strategic and ad-hoc analysis at customer and client level across Hong Kong Business
Work closely with Business Finance teams and Data & Analytics (D&A) teams to establish consistent data standards, reporting framework, and insights to drive business performance
Partner with the Financial Controller and Investor Relations teams to meet the external disclosure requirements and support external messaging
Competitor benchmarking to identify industry trends and support coalition analysis
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, risk management policies, and financial governance standards

Requirements:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, related field or equivalent experience
Master’s degree in finance or role relevant qualifications, such as ACA, CPA, CFA or equivalent, are a plus
Expertise in Financial Modelling and Analytics
Proven track record in driving commercial insights based on analytics
Experience in Retail Banking, Wealth or Commercial Banking preferred
Knowledge of Hong Kong banking market dynamics, competitive landscape and the wider economy
In-depth knowledge of the Company, Group and financial services industry, business supported and the regulatory framework they operate in
