The Senior Finance Manager reports to the Financial Controller and is responsible for leading a team of accounting staff. The role oversees all core finance functions, including accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, audit, and tax. This position ensures accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information while driving process improvements and supporting strategic decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group standards
Manage month-end closing, review consolidated financial reports and Group reporting templates
Ensure timely completion of variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Lead the design and implementation of financial and non-financial performance tracking frameworks, including defining KPIs and key drivers
Develop models for clinic and doctor performance reviews and establish robust reporting and analytics processes
Prepare monthly rolling forecasts and contribute to the annual budgeting process
Support evaluation of business initiatives, pricing strategies, tender proposals, and provider packages
Conduct post-implementation reviews and manage project cost tracking to ensure alignment with business objectives
Enforce internal control policies across finance and operations to ensure compliance with Group standards
Identify process improvement opportunities and report exceptions to strengthen governance and drive disciplined growth
Manage cash flow and prepare monthly cash flow projections
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions and collaborate with operations on procure-to-pay processes, equipment procurement, and inventory management
Coordinate statutory audit and tax filing processes to ensure timely and accurate compliance
Perform ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Recognised professional qualification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Solid experience in full-set accounting
Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience, including exposure in leading CPA firms and/or multinational groups, with at least 5 years at managerial or senior supervisory level
Experience in the medical industry with strong business acumen is an advantage
Strong logical and analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRSs"), Hong Kong and international tax laws and Hong Kong Companies Ordinance
Proven expertise in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
Proficiency in ERP systems
Excellent communication and report-writing skills in both English and Chinese
Strong team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure
Nice to have:
Experience in the medical industry with strong business acumen is an advantage
Experience with clinic management systems is a plus
