Are you highly collaborative self-starter interested in adding value to businesses growing in complexity and scale? This Senior Finance Manager – Strategic Partnership Enablement role is part of the Business Enablement finance team that supports some of Microsoft’s most exciting and emerging businesses, including Azure, Artificial Intelligence and all the cloud infrastructure that runs them. This position drives enablement, execution and optimization of Financial Accounting and Operations for large-scale AI partnership. Partnering with Cloud Finance, Accounting and Operations, this role is expected to enable and execute complex cost tracking for data center infrastructure costs and deliver solutions compliant with contract terms and support financial close and reporting rhythms.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive successful enablement and execution of new, non-standard and complex strategic partnerships
  • Manage financial compliance, including the collection of data, accurate record-keeping, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to execute processes and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
  • Manage and execute processes through engagement with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Provide business insights and recommendations to influence decision making and scalable financial operations
  • Business partner and drive collaboration across various teams including: Finance, Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Compliance and other partners
  • Facilitate to resolve complex partner and program issues. Create alignment between business stakeholders and influence leadership decision-making of complex scenarios. Consider competing views and alternative solutions when formulating recommendations
  • Understand the interconnections between data and processes and conceptualize and design new approaches to finance and accounting processes. Drive improvements through automation. Apply understanding of advanced technology to mitigate risks and drive efficiencies and scalability
  • Identify and manage business risk. Ensure controls are implemented and data security practices are adhered to. Ensure deals are compliantly operationalized in accordance with MS Policies, GAAP and SOX
  • Document end-to-end processes in detail and at a high-level that can be leveraged by execution teams and for executive presentations

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • Cross-functional partnering and leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority, including the ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders
