Job Description

The Microsoft Global Partner team works with stakeholders across the company (Channel Partner, Independent Software Vendor (ISV), System Integrator (SI), Solution Areas, Marketing, Business Planning) to help scale our commercial products and capture total addressable market (TAM) across segments. The Senior Finance Manager, Azure Marketplace will work closely with the Marketplace business team, the ISV to influence strategic direction and business decision making to accelerate revenue growth across the Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Priorities. We are looking for someone to operate in a results-driven, dynamic environment of a business area with continued high growth opportunities.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the central finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft Marketplace, provide guidance on Marketplace revenue mechanics, billing flows, and financial attribution
  • Represent Finance in executive business reviews, translating performance into clear, actionable narratives
  • Lead annual planning and quarterly forecasting, integrating pipeline signals, statistical models, and field judgment
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close reviews, focusing on key drivers, risks, and insights for leadership
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, and variance analysis to track Marketplace health
  • Provide finance support for Marketplace aligned incentives, quotas, and compensation programs
  • Validate financial impacts and ensure alignment between sales motions, company strategy, and financial outcomes
  • Work closely with Sales, Product Marketing , and Engineering teams to support Marketplace strategy and execution
  • Drive continuous improvement in Marketplace finance processes, data quality, and reporting tools
  • Support new tooling, automation, and scalable reporting solutions as Marketplace evolves

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry
  • Driven, self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to partner, build trust, and communicate with and influence leaders and business partners
  • Team player with an ability to manage across organizational boundaries, influence others and build on the work of others
