We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to take on a highly influential leadership position within the University’s Financial Planning and Analysis portfolio. This role will provide strategic direction to the Finance Business Partnering function and play a central part in shaping financial planning, performance, and decisionmaking across both Divisional and Academic areas. As a key member of the Financial Services Management Team, you will work closely with Executive Leaders and budget centre owners, offering financial insights, contemporary analysis, and forwardlooking guidance that supports effective resource allocation and longterm institutional sustainability. A critical component of this role will be responsibility for leading and developing a specialised team of Finance Business Partners. You will have direct reports and will be accountable for ensuring the team delivers consistent, highquality financial support across multiple campuses. In this role you will oversee financial performance monitoring, manage budget planning and reporting processes, and foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders. With a strong focus on strategic leadership, partnership, and service excellence, this position will play a vital role in positioning the University to meet its financial obligations and achieve its longterm priorities.

Requirements:
Demonstrated strategic leadership capability, including the ability to lead, mentor and develop high performing professional teams, and to shape a collaborative, future focused culture across the finance function
Advanced financial, analytical and commercial skills, including well developed problem solving and decision-making capabilities
Expert ability to extract, interpret and synthesise complex financial and operational data, applying advanced analytical tools and enterprise systems to produce authoritative reporting that informs executive level decisions
Demonstrated ability to work to tight time frames often with conflicting deadlines, and to progress projects to completion and to assess and evaluate the project impacts
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with budget centre owners and the ability to work in a flexible and collaborative manner
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and possess the initiative to recommend and implement changes to policy and procedure where improvements or efficiencies can be achieved
Proficient in the use of Finance systems and the ability and willingness to learn and develop skills using new applications
A deeply embedded commitment to client centred service delivery, ensuring the Finance Business Partnering model consistently delivers high-quality, strategically aligned support to enable organisational performance
Completion of a relevant Degree and/or extensive relevant work experience
Completion of an internationally recognised accounting body’s qualification, or a combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Australian citizenship, permanent residence or a current valid visa that allows you to fulfill the requirements of this role
