Job Description

An international charity working to combat some of the world’s most serious forms of exploitation is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial leadership across a global programme portfolio. This is a compelling opportunity for an accountant to shape financial insight that drives impact, supports decision-making, and enables meaningful change on a global scale.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting and management reporting for key programmes and departments
  • Produce insightful financial analysis
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements
  • Oversee internal and external financial reporting
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team
  • Work closely with programme teams worldwide
  • Ensure financial resources enable strategic growth and maximise impact
  • Contribute to building stronger processes and tools
  • Provide clarity around performance
  • Act as a trusted advisor to both finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles
  • Produce clear and timely management accounts with commentary
  • Partner with budget holders to understand financial performance and variances
  • Oversee donor reporting and compliance
  • Support multi-year financial projections and development of performance tracking tools
  • Contribute to improvements in financial reporting, financial modelling and accounting processes
  • Build the capacity of budget holders in financial management and donor compliance

Requirements

  • Qualified or qualified by experience accountant
  • Substantial experience in finance business partnering or management accounting
  • Experience within a grant-funded, international or charitable environment
  • Strong experience delivering budgets, forecasts and management accounts
  • Knowledge of donor-funded projects including reporting and compliance requirements
  • Ability to design and interpret financial models and reports for non-finance audiences
  • Experience working with multiple currencies and/or multi-entity structures
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative and proactive approach
  • Confidence to advise, challenge and support senior stakeholders
