Job Description:

A Boston-based asset management firm is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to support financial reporting, fund accounting, and operational initiatives across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance and accounting professional with public accounting or fund experience to grow within a dynamic, entrepreneurial investment environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the management company and related entities
  • Support fund-level accounting, including expense allocations, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with audit preparation and regulatory/compliance reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
  • Collaborate with operations, compliance, investor relations, and investment teams on financial matters
  • Support new initiatives, fund launches, and business growth activities as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting
  • ideally a Big 4 CPA with hedge/PE exposure or fund accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Advanced Excel
  • familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) a plus
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
  • Close attention to detail, self-starter, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
