Job Description

Senior Finance Associate | Boston, MA (Back Bay) We’re partnering with a Boston-based asset management firm (~$5B AUM) to hire a Senior Finance Associate to support core financial operations, reporting, and analysis. This role is ideal for a finance professional looking to grow in an entrepreneurial investment environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the management company and related entities
  • Support fund-level accounting, including expense allocations, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with audit preparation and regulatory reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Partner with compliance, investor relations, and investment teams on financial matters
  • Support fund launches, new initiatives, or business growth activities

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in finance or accounting (asset management/financial services preferred)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • accounting system experience (e.g., QuickBooks) a plus
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
  • Self-starter with close attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
