Are you an experienced Senior Finance Assistant looking for an exciting new Part Time opportunity as part of Allan Webbs Finance Division? This position is working 30 hours per week, pro rata salary plus excellent benefits. Allan Webb offers a hybrid working pattern however this role will require a presence at our Stonehouse, Gloucester office on a Wednesday and Thursday. We can offer some flexibility around hours. Reporting to our Assistant Financial Controller this role offers great variety working as part of a proactive finance function. As part of an evolving Team, the role will also have the opportunity to act as primary support for our 2 Finance Assistants and guide them within their development. You will be working at a senior transactional level using your influencing skills to collaborate across the business internally.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing support to the Assistant Financial Controller
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts, supporting the month-end process
  • Conducting annual fixed asset checks and maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Quarterly VAT journals
  • Preparation of time & materials sales invoices
  • Manage company credit card statements
  • Monthly payroll cycles for 5 months of the year
  • Assist with year-end financial processes
  • Quarterly VAT returns and VAT reconciliations
  • Review of month end reports and monthly Office of National statistics (ONS) reports
  • Provide continuity across company service with sickness & holiday
  • Act as primary support for our 2 Finance Assistants and guide them within their development

Requirements:

  • AAT qualified or final year of study
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel: pivot tables, reporting, analysis
  • Efficient working knowledge of the Microsoft Office programmes
  • Have ability to work to changing deadlines under pressure
  • Flexibility to work under your own initiative as well as part of a functional Team
  • Hold British citizenship and the right to work in the UK
  • Hold SC level security clearance
