Job Description:

SIG is looking for a Senior Field Service Technician to ensure efficient operation of packaging lines on customer sites, perform root cause analyses, resolve mechanical/electronic/automation malfunctions, support prototype optimization, install rebuilding kits, and travel worldwide to customers. The role requires a vocational background in mechatronics/electrical/automation, 5-10 years of technical experience, strong problem-solving, customer focus, teamwork, and communication skills.

Job Responsibility:

Ensuring the most efficient operation of our packaging lines on customer site, naturally taking into account economic and technical aspects
Perform systematic analyses to identify the root cause of problems and achieve a permanent solution or prepare a detailed problem description if the cause cannot be identified
Analyze and resolve malfunctions both mechanical, electronic and also automation
Support optimization of prototype machines on customer site
Install rebuilding kits according to procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment with a high level of customer satisfaction
Worldwide travel to customers

Requirements:

Completed vocational training in the field of mechatronics / electrical or automation engineering
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
Striving for high customer satisfaction, delivering excellent solutions for the customer
A demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment efficiently
High level of communication skills
5-10 years in technical/equipment/machinery experience in an equipment manufacturing service based industry. Involving all levels of complexity including trouble shooting on the above equipment.
