SD Solutions is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineering Technician (HVAC) to support the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron (7 CES) at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. This position provides technical engineering and project support for Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM), Utilities, Repair, and Military Construction (MILCON) projects supporting installation readiness and mission execution. The successful candidate will provide HVAC subject matter expertise supporting facility assessments, equipment evaluations, engineering documentation, project execution, and infrastructure modernization activities. The individual will work closely with engineers, construction managers, contractors, and Air Force stakeholders to support planning, programming, and execution of facilities projects.
Job Responsibility
Support planning, development, programming, and execution of FSRM, UMMC, and MILCON projects
Perform HVAC assessments, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and lifecycle evaluations for facilities and infrastructure systems
Support development of engineering studies, plans, technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates
Assist with development of acquisition documentation, including Statements of Objectives (SOOs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), DD Form 1391s, and supporting project documentation
Participate in project meetings, technical interchange sessions, and planning conferences
Support project scheduling, budget development, and project status reporting
Maintain project tracking databases, project notebooks, and engineering records
Prepare technical reports, presentations, memorandums, and executive briefings
Conduct technical reviews of contractor deliverables for completeness and accuracy
Support quality assurance and quality control activities for engineering deliverables
Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, and Government stakeholders to resolve technical issues
Ensure compliance with Air Force standards, federal regulations, building codes, and installation requirements
Support continuity of operations during personnel absences and increased workload periods
Requirements
U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a Confidential security clearance
Minimum 8 years of relevant HVAC engineering technician experience
Extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluation
Experience supporting facilities modernization or construction projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle on Dyess AFB
