The Senior Operator role in BCG's Rapid Value & Cash (RVC) team is designed for candidates with 12–20+ years of experience in consulting or private equity value creation. Job Responsibility
Lead high-impact workstreams and programs in turnaround, restructuring, and value creation – from diagnosis through implementation
At times, take end-to-end ownership of results, including P&L impact, cash delivery, and operational performance improvements – in an interim leadership capacity within client organizations
Translate analyses into pragmatic action plans and drive execution on-site to deliver measurable business impact at pace
Execute across key value levers (cost, cash, operations, organization), with a strong focus on speed and impact
Partner with senior stakeholders (CEO, CFO, functional leaders) to shape decisions, drive alignment, and navigate complex transformation settings
Embed within client organizations and mobilize BCG's full ecosystem (experts, proprietary tools, AI-enabled capabilities) to deliver end-to-end impact
Build trusted client relationships, identify additional value creation opportunities, and support business development efforts
Coach and develop team members and help build sustainable capabilities within client organizations
Contribute to the evolution of RVC methodologies, playbooks, and best practices
Requirements
12–20+ years of relevant experience in consulting, private equity value creation, restructuring, or senior industry roles, with a strong track record in transformation and performance improvement
Experience in interim or operational leadership roles with hands-on accountability is a plus
above all, a strong track record of owning outcomes and driving measurable results
Deep functional and/or industry expertise (e.g., operations, finance, treasury, PMO, people, or organizational transformation), with the ability to apply it in complex, real-world settings
Proven experience delivering turnarounds, restructuring programs, or large-scale value creation initiatives with measurable impact
Strong execution mindset with the ability to move from analysis to action – bringing a hands-on, pragmatic, and results-oriented approach
Credibility and presence to influence senior stakeholders (CEO, CFO, functional leaders) in demanding, fast-paced environments
Experience in private equity-backed businesses, mid-cap companies, or industrial environments
interim or on-the-ground leadership experience is a plus
Commercial acumen and relationship-building skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to client development
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with sound judgment to balance strategic perspective and practical execution
Demonstrated leadership and team development skills, with a commitment to coaching and capability building
