The Senior Executive Compensation Manager serves as a strategic advisor on executive compensation matters across T-Mobile's executive population. This role partners directly with senior business leaders, HR Business Partners, and cross-functional HR teams to deliver thoughtful, market-based, and business-aligned compensation solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to consult with executives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position serves as the primary compensation advisor for the Company's Vice President population and related executive talent decisions, ensuring decisions are consistent, competitive, and aligned with both internal equity and external market benchmarks. The role also supports executive compensation governance activities, including Compensation Committee and proxy-related work.
Job Responsibility
Serve as the primary compensation advisor for Vice President-level leaders, advising Sr. Director HR Strategic Advisors, Sr. HRBPs, Executive Recruiting, and business leaders on executive compensation matters
Evaluate leadership roles and organizational structures, providing guidance on executive leveling, job architecture alignment, and market positioning
Develop and review external new hire offers, promotion recommendations, lateral move compensation, retention packages, severance arrangements, and other ad hoc pay changes
Conduct executive market pricing and benchmarking utilizing executive compensation surveys, proxy disclosures, and peer company data
Maintain updated job descriptions and survey matches
Prepare executive-ready materials such as pay proposals, forecasts, and tailored compensation summaries
Partner with business leaders to consult on compensation strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals
Lead or support ad hoc compensation projects as business needs evolve
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with compensation governance standards
Support development of Compensation Committee materials, executive compensation analyses, proxy disclosures, peer benchmarking, and other executive compensation governance activities
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and external advisors to ensure compliance and governance alignment
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of related work experience OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
7+ years of progressive executive compensation experience supporting executive and senior leadership populations within a publicly traded company
Experience supporting Compensation Committee materials, proxy statement preparation, executive compensation disclosures, or other executive compensation governance activities
Advanced competency in Excel and financial modeling, with strong quantitative analytical skills
Experience handling large, complex datasets and translating them into concise, actionable recommendations
Ability to influence and present to senior executives
