Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled SAP Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence dashboards and self-service tools that empower business users with actionable insights. This role demands strong collaboration with IT teams, a deep understanding of data visualisation principles, and a commitment to data security and performance optimisation. The individual will be responsible for Universe and report development, performance tuning, production support, and user training, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and build Universes using relational database structures, ensuring data integrity and resolving complex joins and traps
  • Develop detailed analytical and ad-hoc reports using Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and other tools, incorporating advanced features such as filters, prompts, charts, and drill-downs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications
  • Optimise report execution and Universe performance using techniques like aggregate awareness and query tuning
  • Provide production support, including issue resolution, ticket handling, and data load failure analysis
  • Conduct user training sessions on report generation and data interpretation
  • Manage report scheduling, distribution, and deployment, including integration with SAP ECC and BW systems
  • Monitor dashboards for failures and errors, and communicate delays or issues to users
  • Support users with dashboard-related queries and service requests throughout the delivery lifecycle

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP BO development
  • Advanced SQL scripting skills and strong data interpretation capabilities
  • Proficient in data visualisation standards and business intelligence concepts
  • Experience with data warehousing, reporting interfaces, and large IT development projects
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (JIRA & Confluence)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Basic coding skills in Python and JavaScript
  • Experience working with large datasets under tight deadlines
