We are seeking a Senior Exams Assistant (Fixed Term) to join our team. In this role you will liaise with staff, students and examination awarding bodies to ensure all students are entered and scheduled appropriately. You will ensure that all examinations are conducted in compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations and make sure processes run smoothly, creating a positive experience for all stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Administrative procedures for student entry with examination bodies
Develop good working relationships with Curriculum Area Heads
Develop good working relationships with the Additional Learning Support team to ensure all students requiring Access Arrangements have approval from the awarding body and approved arrangements are put in place
Administering procedures for examinations including liaison with colleagues on invigilation and accommodation, ensuring that examination body regulations are publicised and adhered to, collection and mailing completed scripts and making appropriate arrangements for students with exam access requirements or clashes of examinations
Ensuring that specialised stationery and examination scripts are securely stored, prepared and dispatched in accordance with awarding body regulations
Assist with the training of and the support to invigilators, ensuring their knowledge is updated on a regular basis in line with JCQ and awarding body regulations
Requirements:
Experience of working with complex databases for data collection, input, tracking and reporting
Experience of dealing with people at all levels and of all ages, both in person, on the telephone and communicating by letter/email
Experience of working in a busy administrative team environment, managing own workloads and various conflicting priorities
Excellent IT experience, including Microsoft Office products to produce clear and accurate communications, using information from databases and a wide range of communications media
Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
