Job Description:

Senior eTrading Developer role in Rates Technology team responsible for Citi's electronic connectivity and distribution platform, enabling the Rates business to maintain its market-leading position. The role involves working on high-profile trading applications with direct exposure to front office trading and finance.

Job Responsibility:

Designing and developing front office eTrading applications
Working directly with Traders, Sales, and Quants to shape the future direction of the platform
Utilizing creativity and innovation to improve the technical capabilities of the platform
Driving engineering standards and continuing to strive for best practices
Enhancing automated testing efforts and optimizing UAT process
Mentoring strong and energetic team in EMEA region
Serving as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts
Troubleshooting challenging performance and scalability issues
Providing onsite support to Rates traders in Paris location
Assisting in third line support during core trading hours
Acting as Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
Liaising with the global business, support, and development teams on various projects

Requirements:

Extensive programming experience with an Object-oriented language
Multi-Threading experience
Experience with any relational database
Solid architectural understanding of enterprise applications
Understanding of computing science fundamentals – concurrency, algorithms, data structures, design patterns
Experience with modern software development practices such as Agile development, test-driven development, and continuous integration and continuous delivery

Nice to have:

Experience with Java Core
Experience with Spring framework
Experience with Linux
Experience developing large financial software trading systems
Experience with ION Multi-Market Interface (MMI) and/or SystemAdministrator
Knowledge of major Financial Products (e.g., EuroGovies/Swaps/GILTS/SAS etc.)
Knowledge of Broker/Customer Markets electronic trading flows
Experience with MongoDB
Worked in an Agile globally distributed team using tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Sonar & Team City
Worked with tools such as IntelliJ, Gradle
Experience with JSON/XML and REST service
