Senior Estimator

• Lead the tender process from receipt through to submission, adjudication, and negotiation
• Produce accurate, competitive tenders aligned with technical and commercial requirements
• Carry out take-offs from drawings and BIM/CAD models
• Build rates from first principles (labour, plant, materials)
• Manage subcontractor enquiries and analyse returns
• Ensure all tender submissions are delivered on time
• Identify risks, challenges, and opportunities within bids
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Support smooth handover to delivery teams
• Keep up to date with legislation and client requirements
• Lead and mentor the estimating team
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and supply chain

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or established Estimator in utilities/civils
• Strong track record of winning work
• Experience mentoring or leading others
• Excellent commercial and analytical skills
• Strong communicator with stakeholder management experience
• Able to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
• Detail-focused, proactive, and commercially aware
• Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and estimating processes
• Full UK driving licence
