Sourcing, evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotes
Maintaining up-to-date market rate and supplier databases
Identifying scope gaps, risks and constructability issues
Recommending value-engineering options to improve cost efficiency
Ensuring all estimates comply with relevant codes, standards and project requirements
Reviewing contractual conditions and tender documentation
Liaising with senior management on tender progress and workflow

Commercial construction experience is preferred
Post-secondary diploma in a related field would be considered an asset

Preparing and maintaining a list of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
Advising on proposal procedures to follow
Studying and analyzing proposals received
Recommending/rejecting proposals and negotiating contracts
Establishing unit costs, labour rates, productivity factors and location impacts
Evaluating and recommending allowances for indirect costs, design unknowns, escalation and contingency
